With Loss Comes Life
My journey to pregnancy wasn't an easy one, but it also wasn't as difficult as many mothers out there who struggle to get pregnant. After four early miscarriarages and a year of trying, we finally found out we were expecting our precious little bundle of joy....just three days after my father passed away. He had been battling small cell lung cancer for the past year, but he left me one last gift, the best gift of my life, my sweet baby girl.
We all know life goes by quickly, and soon, all we have left are the memories.
After I had my daughter, I was blessed to be able to breastfeed her. As challenging as it was at times (bleeding nipples, thrush), I cherished the moments of cuddling close to my daughter and building that bond with her. I had no idea breastmilk jewelry existed until she was about 6 months old. I bought a ring and I fell in love. I began my journey making DNA jewelry so that I could help others cherish their memories of their babies, family members, or furry friends who have passed or are here Earthside.
